Since 1975, campers have improved their performance in academics, golf and tennis while having fun and making new friends from all around the world at 4 Star Camps. We offer campers ages 10-17 the opportunity to create their own summer experience by selecting from a variety of high quality Academic Enrichment, Sports, and Recreational programs all offered in a University setting.

Academic Enrichment Programs. College is getting more competitive than ever so you need every edge you can find to ensure you are accepted into the college of your choice. What better place to get ahead than in the backdrop of one of the finest institutions in the country – the University of Virginia. We offer 4 Distinct Programs.

1. SAT Prep. You need to take this course anyway so why not take it while having a great time at summer camp? Improve your score while enjoying a wide range of great afternoon, evening and weekend choices that will still afford you plenty of time to have fun!

2. Senior High Program (rising 10th – 12th graders). Gain an edge in preparing for your upper level high school courses while at the same time preparing for the rigors of college life. Select one course for each of 3 class periods.
3. Junior High Program (rising 7th – 9th graders). Get a jump on your peers by choosing from a number of interesting courses to better prepare you for Junior High and High School.
4. American Studies for Foreign Students (13 – 17 year olds). Just like the title says, this course is for foreign students considering an application to an American university or just wants to gain further exposure to English. This immersion-style program will have you learning American history, government and culture while experiencing the nuances of a college campus.  We've also TOEFL Prep as part of this program.

All of these programs let you choose from 7 activities to spend your afternoons: Tennis Instruction, Golf Instruction, Soccer Instruction, Personal Fitness, Recreational Sports, SCUBA Certification or Fine Arts Workshops.

Golf Camp. Outstanding camps at the exceptional grounds and facilities of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA for boys and girls ages 10 - 18 of all ability levels. Not all golf camps are the same and selecting the right one can provide lasting benefits. Developed and refined over the years by a staff of PGA pros and our own golf professionals, 4 Star Camps has created the total summer golf program second to none. We combine the best of supervision with quality instruction and fun, non-golf activities to provide an unforgettable summer experience. We utilize the University of Virginia’s Birdwood Golf Course for this program.

Tennis Camp. Whether participating in our full-day tennis program or you combine tennis with golf, soccer or recreational sports, you will benefit from excellent coaches and college players.  The full day program will once again be led by Coach Mark Guilbeau and Troy Porco, women's coaches at the University of Virginia.  We'll also get assistance from Stonebrook's Coach Peter Miller.  These unique programs provide you the ability to improve your game while having a great time.
